What I do

Create a new OpenSpec change with proper scaffolding, including the change directory structure and initial files.

When to use me

When the user wants to start a new feature, fix, or modification using the OpenSpec workflow.

Workflow

  1. Ask for change name (kebab-case format)
  2. Optionally ask for change type (feature, fix, refactor, etc.)
  3. Call openspec_new with the changeId
  4. Confirm creation and suggest next steps

Example

User: "create a new change for adding authentication" → Ask: "What would you like to name this change? (e.g., 'add-auth')" → Call openspec_new({ changeId: "add-auth" }) → Confirm and suggest creating proposal
