Active Storage

Comprehensive guide to file uploads and cloud storage in Rails.

Setup

rails active_storage:install
rails db:migrate

This creates:

• activestorageblobs - File metadata
• activestorageattachments - Polymorphic join table
• activestoragevariant_records - Cached variant info
