• Step title: action verb. "Connect your calendar."
• Description: one sentence explaining why. "So we can find times that work for your team."
• "Skip" always available for optional steps.

Empty States as Onboarding

• First project: "Create your first project to get started."
• First teammate: "Invite your team to collaborate."
• Make the empty state do the teaching.

Progress Communication

• "Step 2 of 4" — concrete progress.
• "Almost there!" — only after 75% completion.
• Celebrate finish: "You're all set. Here's your dashboard."

Tone

• Patient but not patronizing.
• Brief but not cryptic.
• Encouraging but not gushing.
