Landing Page Copy

Headline Formula

What Works

  • Benefit-first: "Ship 10x faster" (what they get).
  • Problem-first: "Stop wasting hours on manual deployment" (pain they feel).
  • Proof-first: "Used by 50,000 teams" (social proof).

What Doesn't

  • "Welcome to [Product Name]" — says nothing.
  • "The Best [Category] Solution" — every competitor says this.
  • "Next-Generation [Buzzword] Platform" — meaningless.

Structure

  1. Headline: One sentence, benefit or outcome.
  2. Subheadline: One sentence, how it works or who it's for.
  3. Social proof: Logos, numbers, or a quote.
  4. Features/Benefits: 3-4 with specific outcomes.
  5. CTA: Specific action. "Start Free Trial" not "Get Started."

Rules

  • Address one audience per page.
  • One primary CTA per section.
  • Above the fold: headline + subheadline + CTA + visual.
  • Every claim should be provable or demonstrable.
